 Any person can become a true guardian of his religion only when, along with being proud of it, he also thinks about the errors in it.  If pride alone would have worked, would Raja Ram Mohan Roy not have had to take steps against "Sati", "child marriage" and "casteism"?  Nor did they have to promote education, women's education and social justice to establish "Brahmo Samaj"?

      Society runs on religion, and religion runs on being aware.  There is a reason to be proud of any religion only when we are its true well-wishers and protectors, only then we will be able to be proud of our religion in the true sense.

          

        We need to be cautious of those who shine their political ambitions under the guise of religion, such people can go to any extent by taking the help of religion and making religion a stepping stone.  Which is being seen by Prime Minister Modi right here.

      If a politician starts talking about religion instead of his social work, then understand that there is no more deceitful person than him.  Because if he is unable to achieve the social purpose for which he was elected, or is wandering, or is trying to create religious polarization among the public, then the public needs to be wary of him.

कोई भी व्यक्ति अपने धर्म का सच्चा प्रहरी तभी बन सकता है, जब वह उस पर गर्व करने के साथ-साथ उसमें आई त्रुटियों पर भी विचार करता चलें।  अकेले गर्व करने से काम चलता होता, तो राजा राम मोहन राय को  "सती प्रथा", "बाल-विवाह"  व  "जातिवाद" के खिलाफ कदम न उठाने पड़ते ?  और न ही उन्हें  "ब्रह्म समाज"  की स्थापना के लिए शिक्षा,  स्त्री शिक्षा, और सामाजिक न्याय को बढ़ावा देना पड़ता ?

     समाज धर्म से, और धर्म जागरूक रहने से चलता है।  किसी भी धर्म पर गर्व करने का कारण तभी बनता है,  जब सही मायनों में हम उसके सच्चे हितैषी व संरक्षक भी हो, तभी सही अर्थों में हम अपने धर्म पर गर्व कर सकेंगे।
         
       धर्म की आड़ में अपनी राजनैतिक महत्वाकांक्षाओं को चमकाने वालों से हमें सावधान रहने की जरूरत है,  ऐसे लोग धर्म का सहारा लेते हुए,  धर्म को सीढ़ी  बनाकर किसी भी हद तक जा सकते है।  जो प्रधानमंत्री मोदी द्वारा यहीं देखने को मिल रहा है।

     यदि कोई राजनेता अपने सामाजिक कार्यों के स्थान पर धर्म-कर्म की बातें करने लगें, तो समझो, उससे बड़ा कोई कपटी व्यक्ति नहीं है।  क्योंकि जिस सामाजिक उद्देश्य के लिए उसे चुना गया,  यदि वो उसी को करने में असमर्थ रहा,  या भटक रहा है, या जनता में धार्मिक ध्रुवीकरण कराने की कोशिश कर रहा है,  तो जनता को उससे सावधान रहने की आवश्यकता है।
