Ever since Modi became the Prime Minister, he has done many things which have tarnished the reputation of India.
Be it ignoring the President during the inauguration of the new Parliament, or insulting the President and other high ranking people during the consecration of the Ram Temple?
Generally, Bharat Ratna was declared in Rashtrapati Bhavan, but Modi broke this tradition and now by declaring himself, he snatched this right from the Honorable President.
A Dalit remains exploited by the society, but the way Modi publicly insulted a Dalit President, not once but more than once, exposes the feeling of inferiority within him. By continuously insulting him, it has become clear that Modi has made him the President out of compulsion just for the sake of tribal votes, he is still not able to accept him from his heart.
Till now, Bharat Ratna was given in a purely non-political manner, but voter Modi has started pursuing his interest in this gem also. Now this is being given to them selectively, where Modi is fearing political gain.
The way the highest medal is being ridiculed by Modi merely for political reasons, not only is the dignity of the Bharat Ratna falling, but it is doubtful whether the honor of the person receiving it will remain the same.

मोदी जब से प्रधानमंत्री बने, तब से उन्होंने बहुत से काम ऐसे किये, जिससे भारत की प्रतिष्ठा धूमिल हुई है।
फिर वह चाहे नये संसद उद्घाटन में राष्ट्रपति की उपेक्षा हो, या फिर राम मंदिर प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा के समय, राष्ट्रपति व अन्य उच्च पदस्थ लोगों को अपमानित करना हो ?
आम तौर पर भारत रत्न राष्ट्रपति भवन में घोषित किया जाता रहा था, पर मोदी ने इस परंपरा को भी तार-तार करते हुए अब ही खुद ही घोषित कर, यह अधिकार भी माननीय राष्ट्रपति से छीन लिया।
एक दलित वैसे ही समाज द्वारा शोषित रहता है, किन्तु मोदी ने जिस तरह सरे-आम एक बार नहीं, बल्कि एक से अधिक बार जिस तरह एक दलित राष्ट्रपति को अपमानित किया है, उससे उनके अंदर की ऊंच-नीच की भावना उजागर होती है। लगातार अपमानित करते हुए यह साफ हो चला है, कि मोदी ने मजबूरी में महज आदिवासी वोटों की खातिर उन्हें राष्ट्रपति बनाया है, दिल से वो अभी भी उन्हें स्वीकार नहीं कर पा रहे है।
भारत रत्न अब तक विशुद्ध गैर-राजनैतिक तरीके से दिया जाता रहा था, परन्तु वोटजीवी मोदी ने इस रत्न में भी अपना हित साधना शुरू कर दिया है। अब ये चुन-चुन कर उन्हें ही दिया जा रहा है, जहां मोदी को राजनैतिक लाभ की आंशका लग रही है।
सर्वोच्च पदक का जिस तरह महज राजनैतिक कारणों से मोदी द्वारा जो माखौल उड़ाया जा रहा है, उससे न केवल भारत रत्न की गरिमा गिर रही है, बल्कि पाने वाले व्यक्ति का भी मान भी अब वैसा ही रहेगा, इसमें संदेह है।
